THIS IS ME, NIL INGLIS
I recently wen to the Health and Nutrition fair of Balaguer, which proved to be an interesting experience. The concept and motive behind the fair is both Health and Food, which I here translate to nutrition.
The two concepts are intertwined in a very powerful way. They are almost synonymous, and connected in such a way that one may affect the other directly. Specially and specifically in that food has a direct effect in our body which in tern will affect our health.
So, the fair's concern is mainly in about raising awareness about these issues and giving an opportunity for both consumers and providers to learn and grow in their own respects.
Many stands were present at this fair, from Food, to cosmetics, to even a shop that sold beds!
Many, if not all the products fell in the line of being beneficial for one's health and / or diet. And so are not merely industrial mass productions that may not be so concerned with these subjects as much as they may be with selling the actual product.
These stands were mostly from local providers, using organic and ecological practises, and there to get noticed and to make some good in the world.
Also, during the whole fair, there were many lectures and conferences scattered around the precinct.
I attended one that was very revealing.
The Bigelsens are two brothers, Josh and Adam, which continue with the work of their father, Dr. Harvey Bigelsen. They deal with health and work with the body in a holistic manner, which is directly opposite to the modern Western Medicine's conception and practices in regards to health.
They personally do it through Holographic Blood, which can be viewed through a Dark Field Microscope, which in tern, as the blood is alive, shows all which is occurring presently in the blood. This image manifests the health condition of the patient from whom one single drop of blood is extracted, as well as what the body is concerned about. The blood may actually show images of organs, bones, etc.. (pretty fascinating stuff)
With this information, they are able to get to the root cause of the issue, and, through recommending what is usually considered "alternative" medicine, are able to restore the balance in the body, in allowing the body to restore the homeostasis, that is naturally occurring in itself, when there are no obstructions.
There is so much more i would want to tell, but it's best if they themselves give you the glimpse of a truly revolutionary and pioneering work.
Here's their website linked; thebigelsenmethod.com/
They also have a YouTube Channel, containing lectures and other fun stuff;
Thank you for your time and attention,
One of the tools I use, most prominently in this occasion, Is active listening.
In summary, it consists in awarding your full, undivided attention to the person you are talking to, maintaining eye contact at all times and in not thinking about what to respond. Once your interlocutor has spoken, to his fullest extent, you proceed to restate what has been said. In this way, you are open for correction, it proves you value the persons input, and you yourself get a firm understanding of what insight can be gained from the comment.
Once you have done this, you may move on to say what you intend to say.
I used this technique all throughout the Experience, with most (if not all) the people I interacted with.
The results; Although it was mentioned that by using this technique many would be astonished, It didn't quite get to this extreme, I believe, but nonetheless I do believe I got everyone's appreciation. I could interact with meaningful people who had meaningful things to say, and I was able to give it importance, which was felt in both parties, together with being able to remember certain information better and have a firmer understanding, as well as comprehending the feeling provided by the original person to say a certain thing.
Also, a good method to use is to end the restatement with; did I get that right? so as to make sure that you actually did.
This can also be used when ending a statement yourself, in asking a question about the statement or the next step of the conversation, so as to be engaging and by offering the chance for a response to be given.
Thank you very much for your time and attention !
